James A. Graft, 51, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2007 at his home.

He was born on February 6, 1956 in Fort Wayne, the son of Chris and Virginia Eyanson Graft. His parents survive in Roanoke.

He graduated from Huntington North High School and earned a degree in accounting from Indiana-Purdue University, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Graft worked at GTE/Verizon in Fort Wayne for 23 years.

He was a past state commander of the Sons of the American Legion and a member of the Sons of the American Legion group of American Legion Post 160 in Roanoke.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his daughter, Natalie Fisher of Huntington; his son, Michael Graft of Huntington; two sisters, Linda Graft of Chicago and Beverly Kelley of Muncie. sister-in-law, Cindy Graft of Huntington; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Chris Graft Jr. and Terry Graft.
