Jeffrey L. Stoffel, 55, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, July 3, 2011, at 11:30 p.m. in Roanoke.

Mr. Stoffel graduated from Huntington High School in 1974. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam and held the rank of SPC-E4. He was employed as a machine repairman with Dana Corporation in Marion for 33 years. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, V.F.W. Post 2689 and Dana Corporation Local Union 7113.

He was born Oct. 24, 1955, in Huntington to Thomas and Margaret "Peg" Rudig Stoffel. His parents survive in Huntington.

Additional survivors include two sons, Jeremiah L. (Danielle L.) Stoffel and Jaryd L. (Cierra T.) Stoffel, both of Huntington; a daughter, Heather L. (Joseph) McFarren, of Roanoke; four brothers, Steve (Dianna) Stoffel, of Houston, TX; Donald Stoffel, of Roanoke; Todd Stoffel, of Huntington; and Christopher Stoffel, of Indianapolis; six sisters, Kathy McNamee, of Roanoke; Cindy Scheiber and Connie (Bennie) Sams, both of Huntington; Vicky (Troy) Hott, of Markle; Beth (Neal) Wheeler, of Indianapolis; and Jamie (Tim) Bruce, of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Isaak Stoffel, Garrett Stoffel, Kyler Stoffel, Sydney McFarren, Sarah McFarren and Sienna Stoffel.

Calling is Thursday, July 7, 2011, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington, with a Rosary Service at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 8 2011, at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, with one hour of visitation prior to the mass. Rev. Ron Rieder will officiate V.F.W. Post 2689 will provide the military rites.
